Marina is a station in the Barcelona Metro and Trambesòs tram networks, at the boundary between the Eixample and Sant Martí districts of Barcelona. It is served by TMB line L1 and tram route T4. The station is named after the nearby Carrer de la Marina, and can be accessed from Carrer dels Almogàvers, and the crossing of Carrer de la Marina with the Avinguda Meridiana. It is adapted for disabled people.
The metro station opened in 1933, as the terminus of an extension from Arc de Triomf station, and became a through station in 1951, when line L1 was extended to Clot station. When built, the station's platforms were located below the sidings of the former Estació del Nord railway station, and as a consequence they are now below the Parc de l'Estació del Nord that has replaced these sidings. Although the Estació del Nord itself has now been converted into a bus station and sports hall, these facilities are more easily accessed from Arc de Triomf metro station. The adjacent tram station opened in 2004.
MARINA is an NSA database and analysis toolset for intercepted Internet metadata (DNI in NSA terminology). The database stores metadata up to a year. According to documents leaked by Edward Snowden: "The Marina metadata application tracks a user's browser experience, gathers contact information/content and develops summaries of target" and "[o]f the more distinguishing features, Marina has the ability to look back on the last 365 days' worth of DNI metadata seen by the Sigint collection system, regardless whether or not it was tasked for collection." [Emphasis in original NSA document.] The stored metadata is mainly used for pattern-of-life analysis. US persons are not exempt because metadata is not considered data by US law (section 702 of the FISA Amendments Act).
MARINA's phone counterpart is MAINWAY.
Power! (known as Critical Mass in Europe) is a computer game developed by Simon Francis in 1985 for the Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum.
The player operates a rocket-powered hovercraft whose mission is to destroy an enemy transfer beam that is protected not only by long-distance enemy raiders and mines, but also molecular disorientation that sucks the energy from the player's attack craft.
The player may control the hovercraft in either a normal joystick operational mode or with vectored movement. When the player pushes forward on the joystick, the hovercraft accelerates, and when pulling back on the joystick, speed decreases.
In 1988, Dragon reviewed Power!, and gave the game 4 out of 5 stars.
PoweredUSB, also known as Retail USB, USB PlusPower, and USB +Power, is an addition to the Universal Serial Bus standard that allows for higher-power devices to obtain power through their USB host instead of requiring an independent power supply or external AC adapter. It is mostly used in point-of-sale equipment, such as receipt printers and barcode readers.
PoweredUSB, as a proprietary variant of USB, was developed and proposed by IBM, Berg (now FCI), NCR and Microsoft between 1998 and 1999, with the last revision (0.8g) issued in 2004. The specification is not endorsed by the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF). IBM, who owns patents to PoweredUSB, charges a licensing fee for its use.
PoweredUSB was licensed by Hewlett-Packard, Cyberdata, Fujitsu, Wincor and others.
PoweredUSB uses a more complex connector than standard USB, maintaining the standard USB 1.x/2.0 interface for data communications and adding a second connector for power. Physically, it is essentially two connectors stacked such that the bottom connector accepts a standard USB plug and the top connector takes a power plug.
